What is a double exposure anyway?
You have probably noticed a few double exposure photos in my portfolio, perhaps they are even what brought you here in the first place. I love including a few of these interesting photos with every session that I do. They are a technique where two photos are taken on top of each other. They are an art form (or even sometimes a mistake) that was created using film when it wasn’t wound properly. In this digital age this same technique can be achieved with the right camera. I create all of these images directly in the camera, not in post-process which maybe doesn’t make a difference in the end product, but I personally think that it makes them more interesting.
They are something different than your typical portrait, an extra that I include- not in replacement to the photos that document your day, but as a bonus. They are fun to create and interestingly unique for you as a couple to display from your wedding day.
