Andrea & Jeff's wedding was at Fairmont Le Château Montebello last month and it was a spectacular day from start to finish. When I first met with Andrea over a year ago I knew that they would be the kind of couple that I love to photograph. "Do any tricks you can." she said, much to my excitement. So from double exposures, to prisming,"rings of fire", sparklers, and even a lightsaber, it was a fun day full of celebrating and creativity.
Nicole from Piper Avenue did an amazing job at keeping the day on track as well as coordinating the ins and outs of the day leading up to the wedding. It was fun to finally work with this fantastic, and alternative wedding planner.
Richardson Hair Design and 2bu Esthetics & Makeup Artistry put together the girls in the morning at Montebello and Pretty Posy Floral Design delivered incredible flowers and floral displays like always!
Their ceremony was in the gazebo overlooking the water and their reception was at the Golf Club. The lightsaber I built for light painting I put together the night before in Home Depot and I was excited to try something for the first time at this couple's wedding. Jeff's Corvette was a big part of their day as well and so it only made sense to do some light painting with it at the end of the night. The oohs and ahhs of guests watching the back of my camera as I danced around behind the car like a madman spurred me on and we had a great time experimenting and creating late into the night. Plus, who doesn't have fun with a lightsaber!
The day before, Andrea & Jeff had a quiet, more private ceremony held at an old church near their parents' home, it also happened to be the same place Andrea's parents were married 43 years previously- almost to the day! We went hiking in a field nearby and got some beautiful photos of the two of them there as well as at a neighbour's home.
It was an incredible weekend and I am so excited to share the photos from their day(s).
