Emma and Scott's Wedding at River House Vineyard and Winery

A few weeks ago, I had the absolute privilege of photographing one of the very first weddings to take place to River House Vineyard and Winery! Alongside a team of fantastic vendors, I enjoyed seeing this event take shape at this stellar new venue in the Ottawa area. From the second you arrive you are transported from the back roads behind Perth to a place beyond Ontario. The moment you cross the bridge you are greeted by a vineyard that rolls majestically up the hill in front of you. It is after that grand entrance that you arrive at the breathtaking venue of River House. Formally the farm of the owner’s grandmother, it has been transformed into something both timeless and extraordinary. Sitting beside the river that gives the venue its name, River House is a special and unique place to join the wedding venue market in the Ottawa area.

From the very beginning of reserving my services for their day, I was excited to work with Emma and Scott. Not only did their venue look lovely (it was even more incredible than I imagined). but Emma and Scott were, also, just absolutely delightful people to get to know and to work with. Joy & Kevin's Wedding at Le Belvedere

Joy & Kevin came in from New York City to have their epic wedding in hills of Wakefield at Le Belvédère. Both of their incredible tastes in style and their all around ability to throw an epic party, made for an incredible, one-of-kind wedding. Each element of the day was curated perfectly from the minds of Joy and Kevin and through the hands of Mint Events and the staff at Le Belvédère.
I always love photographing at this beautiful venue that sits up in the hills of Wakefield. But I was especially excited to photograph this day.
Kevin rolled up in his spectacular maroon suit with his crew while Joy got ready in the beautiful Garden House. After an exciting first look and some photos, they had their ceremony overlooking the valley surrounded by their spectacularly dressed friends and family.
During the cocktails a steel pan player entertained their guests among the tall pines. But even with all of the entertainment and fun their wedding was leading up to their reception, it was during the reception that Joy and Kevin packed in some more surprises. First, it was the Michael Jackson dance that Kevin moon-walked his way into, much to the surprise and delight of his friends. He even had the hat and gloves to complete the package. But then, after starting to dance themselves, they shocked the room with a couple of Samba dancers tearing up the dance floor.
It was a wedding to remember. What a day it was, and here are the photos to prove it!

Sam & Matt's Elopement in Ottawa

Sam & Matt came to town for their elopement last month and I had the privilege of documenting the beautiful, intimate event. Surrounded by all the charm of the capital city of Canada, we strolled around downtown chasing shadows and perfect light together. After this we headed over to the Arboretum for an intimate ceremony surrounded by their family.

When it comes to en elopement there is no script that needs to be followed. It can be as intimate as the couple wants and can be anywhere that they want to go- downtown and the Arboretum are both always great options. Together, for this elopement, they were perfect.
