Cynthia & Marco tied the knot at the Westin in Ottawa last month with a reception following with a breathtaking view from Venue TwentyTwo. With a killer team behind them and surrounded by their closest friends and family, Cynthia and Marco threw a fantastic party!
You could tell that they cared about the little details that made their day so special and with the help of their coordinator Shannon from Let Shan Plan these details became a reality. Shannon says that her favourite decor piece was the circle archway which added such a whimsical feel to the ceremony space. (you’ll see in the photos below that it did, indeed, rock the ceremony space). “I loved being able to turn Cynthia’s vision of an elegant and timeless wedding into reality on the day of her wedding. I like to think that part of my job is to take on any day of stress from the couple by ensuring that everything runs smoothly. It was a pleasure working with Cynthia and Marco and I am so honoured to have been a small part of their magical day.”
Now there were many things about Cynthia and Marco’s wedding that were amazing, but one thing that knocked socks off (or knocked them on in the case of her gift to her father- too much of a Dad joke?) was the fact that there was not just one grand reveal, but several (even more when you consider that she hadn’t seen Marco’s outfit either). Cynthia’s dress was such a special part of her wedding day and she wore it was such confidence and style. Kate from La Maison Bridal Boutique, where Cynthia got her dress, shares this tip:
”Wear what makes you feel like your best self, because no matter what traditional styling tips say everyone looks best when they are confident in what they are wearing.”
It was a fun day, full of laughter and love: the party that everyone needed following two years of Covid. Even the rain didn’t dampen their spirits. In an email before the wedding regarding the probability of rain, Cynthia responded optimistically, “There is a 100% chance of good luck coming our way on Saturday!” So I suppose you could say, “a fun day full of laughter, love, and lots of good luck!”
