Gillian & Ryan's Wedding at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa

The National Arts Centre (NAC) is one of my favourite places to photograph weddings. Nowhere else can boast as classy an atmosphere as this venue’s tall windows and modern aesthetic. Gillian & Ryan brought the fire to their wedding with their spunky and fun personalities. Every aspect of their wedding spoke of their confidence, love of life, and respect from their friends and families. Plus, they were down for anything! It was a blast to photograph of such a fun and beautiful day.

2022 Highlights

2022 was an incredible year, full of so many celebrations! Some where postponed weddings from 2020 that were finally able to happen, some were big and some were small, but all of them were incredible privileges to photograph.

With every opportunity to capture moments in people’s lives I carry the weight of the responsibility to tell their story in an authentic and creative way. I LOVE being given this opportunity. It requires trust on both ends and I will never cease to be indebted to those who place this trust in me. Thank you for letting me into your lives. Thank you for allowing me to be creative. Thank you for enabling me to do what I love.

I also want to recognize that as a photographer working primarily in the Ottawa area I am working on the unceded territory of the Anishinabe Algonquin Nation.

A Downtown Parking Garage Engagement Session

Trends come and go, but if I could photograph casual, downtown, parking garage engagement sessions for the rest of time I would be happy. I loved everything about this session, from the casual, baggy sweatshirts to the perfect golden light filtering between the building skyline. Let’s do more of this, please. Stephanie & Romeo came into Ottawa from Toronto for their session a few days before they tied the knot in Toronto. They pulled into the parking garage for their session after driving several hours and they rocked it from the very first shot on, but I’ll let you see that for yourself in the photos below.
